Home Groups

Home groups are a chance for congregants to grow in their faith and fellowship with other believers. They're also a safe place for non-members, seekers, and those outside the faith to learn about the Christian faith. Home groups generally consist of Bible study and discussion, fellowship time, and a meal or snacks. Visit a home group near you, let us get to know each other, and learn more about what we believe!

Home groups meet in north and south Corvallis, in the Salem area, and Lebanon.

Women's Bible Study

Westminster's Women's Bible Study meets every Thursday from mid-September through May from 9:30 to 11:15am at the church building. (Nursery is provided.)

Men's Fellowship

The Men's Fellowship meets every other week on Saturday mornings, 8:00am, to study and pray.

Partnering with the Benton County chapter of Love, INC (Love In the Name of Christ), WPC creates and distributes layettes to local new mothers, specifically single mothers or those with special needs. Layettes include necessities for newborns and infants, as well as Gospel-oriented items like Bible story books.

Armed Forces

Westminster supports our military members with prayer and with care packages to those who are deployed.  We also send out devotionals to each military member.  This new ministry is currently covering all Oregon OPC churches.

International Students

The OSU International Luncheon hosted by The Pillar (2323 NW Monroe St) provide an opportunity to establish relationships with international students and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them in a non-threatening atmosphere. Westminster is part of the regular staff, and occasionally provides the lunch throughout the year.  The OSU International lunch is each Wednesday during the school year, from 11:30am–1:30pm, and you are welcome to join us for conversation and fellowship.

Basket Ministry

This most recent ministry targets new international OSU students who are interested in receiving a welcome basket and get to know a local family.  You can deliver such a basket and establish a long-term friendship with a student with the hope of sharing the gospel. The contacts are made by the Friends of Internationals organization, making this a great opportunity.

Dinner and a Movie

Join young adults for dinner, film and a discussion on the second Saturday of the month.

Socratic Book Club

The Socratic Book Club provides a chance for Christian and non-Christian college students to meet for a book study, discussing ideas around religion, culture, faith, and reason. The book club meets in a home of a WPC member.

Campus Bible Study

In an attempt to bring the gospel to the broader community around us, Westminster has a weekly Bible study focusing on the question, "How do I make evangelism part of my everyday life?" Discussions revolve around issues of practical apologetics and life as Christ's ambassadors to a weary and darkened world.

In Fall 2016, the group is reading and talking about Jerram Barrs's book, Learning Evangelism from Jesus. Participants do not need a copy of the book to join in. The group is open to anyone: college students and non-college students alike.
